Recommendations for antidote stocking for emergency departments

  • DIGIFab® should be immediately available in the emergency department or any areas where poisoned patients are initially treated1
  • The recommended stock is 5 vials*
  • It is important that antidotes such as DIGIFab® are available in a timely fashion to ensure optimal patient care

Recommended minimum stocking levels based on the amount required to initiate treatment for an adult patient in the emergency department and to continue treatment for
the first 24 hours. Higher stock levels may be required; individual departments should determine the amount stocked based on the epidemiology of poisoning presentations to their department.
